Western Engagement Session with Cows
Sid & Justin’s Love Story in Kimberley BC

There’s something about western love stories that just hit different…
Boots in the dirt. Wind in your hair. Wide open land.
And in Sid and Justin’s case… a field full of beautiful cows watching it all unfold.
A Western Love Story in Kimberley BC.
We planned Sid and Justin’s engagement session surrounded by open fields and mountain views. They wanted something that felt natural and rooted. And honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Sid wore a flowing dress that moved with the breeze, paired with classic cowboy boots. Justin leaned fully into the western vibe with denim and boots. Together, they looked like they stepped straight out of a modern ranch love story.
And then… the cows.

Calm, curious, and completely unbothered by us, they added so much character to the entire session. There’s something incredibly romantic about photographing couples surrounded by animals. It slows everything down. It makes the moment feel real.
Sid and Justin laughed as the cows wandered closer. At one point, one of them stood just behind them as they kissed, like a quiet witness to their love story.
The best engagement sessions are the ones that reflect who you are.
Sid and Justin didn’t want something polished and city-based. They wanted space. Nature. Animals. Western soul.
And being surrounded by their cows ? That felt like home to them.
That’s what I always tell my couples, your engagement session doesn’t need to look like Pinterest. It should feel like you.
